The cover for a self-published workbook teaching phrasal verbs. The author wanted a simple and clean design. She provided the photograph. After researching ELT workbooks, we chose a design with a bold easy-to-read sans-serif font and bright colors! My initial variations played with the idea of a story book, but in the end, the client wanted something more traditional and professional looking!
